School is canceled for Monday March 16th with a virtual learning day for grades 7-12. No after school activities.
Good morning. School will be canceled today due to power outage. This outage is at an unfortunate time of time of the day as our buses are in route to school. For those students on the bus, we will be trying to reach parents to ensure that someone will be home for our younger children. Please prepare accordingly. Thank you. Paul Blanford
Please join us, Vikings! 🙏❤️

School District of Colfax Names Eric Young as Next Superintendent
The Board of Education of the School District of Colfax is pleased to announce that Eric Young has been selected as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Young will officially begin his duties on July 1, 2026.
Mr. Young currently serves as Middle/High School Principal in the Osseo-Fairchild School District, where he has led grades 6–12 since July 2022. His background includes extensive experience in school leadership, professional learning communities, career and technical education programming, facilities planning, and district-level strategic initiatives. Prior to his current role, he served as High School Principal in the Whitehall School District and taught science in both the Elk Mound School District and Turtle Lake School District.
Mr. Young holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadfield Science from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Silver Lake University, and completed his Superintendent licensure program at Viterbo University.
“Eric brings strong instructional leadership, a commitment to student achievement, and experience in rural Wisconsin communities,” said Board President Ken Neuburg. “Throughout the interview process, he demonstrated a clear focus on building relationships, supporting staff, and working collaboratively with the Board and community. We are confident he will be an excellent fit for the School District of Colfax.”
The Board of Education would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the many individuals who participated in the superintendent search process. Community members, parents, support staff, teachers, and administrators contributed valuable feedback through surveys, listening sessions, and community forums. The Board is grateful for the thoughtful input and strong engagement demonstrated throughout the process.
The Board also extends special thanks to Ashley Goulet for her exceptional work behind the scenes. Her organization, coordination of meetings, and attention to detail ensured a smooth and successful hiring process.
The School District of Colfax looks forward to welcoming Eric Young and his family to the community this summer and beginning the next chapter of leadership for the district.
