News from your Parent Liaison

I hope your winter is going well and you and your family are staying healthy. We had a special education parent meeting on Friday, January 22nd where Vicki Michaels and Joyce Hoffman presented information on sensory processing needs.  They gave many helpful suggestions and ideas for parents to use with their children at home.  They covered numerous areas including diet, exercise, sleep, stress reduction, bathing, dressing, clothing, and hair and nail care.  If interested, copies of handouts are available in the special education conference room.  We look forward to seeing you at our resource fair during parent/teacher conferences in February.  Also, I would like to encourage you to check the school website under Special Education Services for updated resources and events throughout the school year.  Feel free to contact me with any question or concerns you may have.  My phone number is (715) 962-3155 ext. 2418, and my email is ruff@colfax.k12.wi.us.
