News from your Parent Liaison

Hello, I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Terri Ruff, and I will be the new parent liaison for the Colfax School District.  Some of you may already know me in my position as the school nurse at Colfax.
The School District of Colfax Special Education Parent Liaison serves as a link between the school and parents.  Responsibilities include coordinating special education parent workshops or meetings, sharing news on district initiatives and developing strategies for increasing parental involvement.  Liaisons work closely with schools to develop community partnerships that enhance the learning environment and ensure federal compliance with each school’s parent involvement policy.  I am looking forward to providing the link between school and parents.
I enjoyed meeting and visiting with some of you at our open house during parent/teacher conferences and appreciate your input and ideas.  We will be working on setting up parent meetings in the near future and will keep you updated.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.  My school phone number is (715) 962-3155, Ext 2418 and my email is ruff@colfax.k12.wi.us.
